A nurturing, home-like environment for your littlest one. Our infant room maintains a strict 4:1 ratio (exceeding NC's 5:1 requirement). Tummy time, sensory exploration, and early language stimulation. Daily communication log with feeding, napping, and milestone tracking via our parent app.
Building confidence through guided play, early language development, and social interaction. Structured activities in art, music, and outdoor gross motor play. Potty training support begins when your child shows readiness. Two snacks and lunch included daily (organic, nut-free menu).
Kindergarten readiness through literacy circles, math manipulatives, science exploration, and social-emotional learning. Letter recognition, counting to 30, name writing, and collaborative projects. Weekly Spanish enrichment and bi-weekly field trips to local museums and parks.

Founded in 2016 by early childhood educator Tameka Johnson, Merry Mini Academy grew from Tameka's frustration with the "warehouse daycare" model. After 12 years teaching in public and private programs, she opened Merry Mini with a simple promise: every child will feel known, safe, and joyful.
Today we serve 68 families across 4 classrooms in our renovated NoDa schoolhouse. We hold NC's highest 5-star quality rating, and 94% of our Pre-K graduates enter kindergarten above grade level.
